When you bring the right people together, great things happen. Whether you’re running one of New York’s most celebrated restaurants, or pursuing the next great breakthrough in treating cancer, teamwork makes all of the difference. That’s why The Young Scientist Foundation strives to bring the brightest, most promising young minds together with experienced mentors who can help them unlock their potential and change the lives of patients living with cancer.
That’s the sense of cooperation we celebrated at our 2nd on March 24, 2014 – and what an amazing celebration it was! Six outstanding chefs, true leaders in their field, brought their talents together to create one unforgettable meal. In the end, more than two hundred guests and sponsors came together to show their support for our mission – and our young scientists.
Because of your generous support, we were able to raise more than $325,000 to fund our ongoing mentorship program, an effort that will change the lives of our student researchers at the laboratory bench and beyond, and hopefully many more lives at the bedside over the many years to come.
And so, on behalf of our young scientists today, and all of the patients whose lives they will change tomorrow, we would like to thank Chefs Michael Anthony, Marc Forgione, Francois Payard, Ben Pollinger, and Bill Telepan, as well as all of you for being part of the vital partnership that is the YSF.
Sincerely,
The Young Scientist Foundation Board of Directors
